The Goal

The brief called for a logo that would:

  • Convey the essence of stitching or sewing while hinting at a modern, digital backend
  • Include a modular visual language that subtly represents inventory or data (grids, layers)
  • Feel warm, trustworthy, and creative, appealing to both traditional tailors and modern designers
  • Be flexible across brand touchpoints, from app icons and invoices to embroidered patches for brand ambassadors

Project Timeline

  • Brief Received: Day 1
  • Research & Concepting: Day 1–2
  • Design & Iteration: Day 3–5
  • Final Approval & Exports: Day 6
  • Handoff: Day 7
  • (Currently ongoing: UI/UX design + full app development phase)

The Solution

We developed a sleek, abstract icon that hints at a looped stitch, flowing upward to symbolize both progress and thread movement. The form has a ribbon-like duality that also subtly nods to fabric folds and motion.

Design Elements:

  • Shape: A spiraling upward form that mimics a stylized stitch or fabric twist, suggesting both craftsmanship and digital flow
  • Color Palette: Though the initial brief leaned toward deep blues and golden yellows, the final mark embraced a rich violet-to-magenta gradient, chosen for its warmth, femininity, and creative energy, ideal for a diverse tailoring demographic
  • Typography: A clean, geometric sans-serif wordmark (inspired by Gilroy) brings modernity and clarity
  • Scalability: The icon was carefully crafted to retain clarity at small sizes (for 1-inch cards or app icons) and to translate seamlessly to embroidered or printed formats
